      • I know, I love to see and learn of other places. I’m going out on a limb here and guess you’re not in the US. Westward expansion during the early years (17-1800s) was often difficult due to the large mountain ranges. There are several such “gaps” in both the Rockys and Appalachian ranges. Cumberland Gap was the main “gap” in the east and probably the most famous. Thanks again for visiting, Ana
