Nothing gives the soul a sense of independence, of freedom, than the open road. Whether the road trip is a few days or the adventurous few years, it provides much relief from daily responsibilities, schedules and the all mighty clock. If you haven’t done so in a while, get out and just drive.

Hoping in the car or on a motorcycle is such a feeling of independence. Perhaps it goes back to when we first got bicycles when we were young!
Ah, perhaps even farther back, to the hunters/gatherers, who lived a life of adventure everyday. Not sure I’d want to go that far.
Speaking of bikes, I had a plan when I was ten to ride my bike, Schwinn that is, from MA to the tierra del fuego. The only way I’d do it now is in an RV. Kids have no perceptions of time/space.
